Die britische Künstlerin Su Blackwell arbeitet vor allem mit Papier: “Paper has been used for communication since its invention; either between humans or in an attempt to communicate with the spirit world. Su employs this delicate, accessible medium and uses irreversible, destructive processes to reflect on the precariousness of the world we inhabit and the fragility of our life, dreams and ambitions”. Ein Schwerpunkt ihrer Papierskulpturen liegt auf Märchen und Natur.
Bemerkenswert finde ich die Serie “Literary Houses”, z.B. Brontë Parsonage. Gemeinsam mit Wendy Jones hat sie das Buch “Fairytale Princess: Seven Classic Stories from the Enchanted Forest” veröffentlicht. Mehr auf www.sublackwell.co.uk.
